Ashleigh started Physie at the age of six and loves the fact that she is doing Physie into her 30’s.

Ashleigh became a BJP Physie teacher and judge several years ago, seeing this as a natural extension to her Physie career, while being able to share her love of physie with others.

Ashleigh values the fact that in Physie you can learn and develop a strong sense of discipline and practise to accentuate your strengths as well as improve your weaknesses, working both individually and as part of a team.

Ashleigh has experienced great success in her Physie career and has been awarded the highly coveted and contested title of "Grand Champion" at the Senior National Final at the Opera House in 2019, 2022 and 2023. Ashleigh has also won her section at the National finals in 2012 and 2016 and the State final in 2020, as well as being in many national winning teams.

Outside of Physie, Ashleigh is a lawyer in a prominent Wollongong firm. Ashleigh's career success has led to several awards including the 2019 Illawarra Business Chamber Award for "Outstanding Young Employee of the Year”.

Pre-schoolers - 8 Years

Physie days are Issy’s favourite days of the week. Issy has enjoyed a love of Physie since she was just 3 years old, following in the footsteps of both her Mum and grandmother who were both Physie ladies – so it runs in the family!

Issy commenced assisting with teaching our junior classes in 2023 and having completed a teaching camp in December 2023, is excited to join the ranks as an Associate Teacher with Wollongong City Physie in 2024.
